Item Description:
This marvelous English canopy pub bar is crafted from solid mahogany and features lighted, lead glazed, multi-colored stained glass. The back bar has a large bevelled-edge mirror flanked on either side by stained glass panels, and two candle shelves with mirrors underneath. 4 fluted and carved columns reach from the canopy to the candle shelves which are supported by carved and paneled brackets. The lower portion of the back bar has 4 large drawers, 2 large open shelves and 2 cabinets with 2 shelves each. The 2 cabinet doors have brass knob pulls and a spring ball stay which operates smoothly and holds the door closed securely. There is a dentile-like frieze under the molded crown which has 16 different panels of stained glass, 4 on each side and 4 underneath. The underside of the canopy also has stemware storage on either side of the central stained glass. Large fluted and carved colums support the front of the canopy and rest on the front bar. There are also 2 fluted and carved accent columns on the front of the bar. The front bar has 4 large drawers, 2 large open shelves and storage for 24 bottles, 12 on each side.
The drawers on both the front and back bar have dovetail joinery, a raised trim around the edges and brass bail pulls. The cabinet doors, the sides of the front and back bars, and the front of the bar are beautifully paneled with rosette accent carvings in the corners. In all there are 10 of these panels. The edging of the front and back bars is gently sloped and very comfortable to lean against. You will enjoy serving your guests from this gorgeous bar!

We do our best to insure quality by using workshops that use treated wood that has been 100% kiln dried to an 8-10% moisture content, however due to the nature of solid wood slight cracking may occur. Solid wood products constantly respond to their environment, therefore, the furniture has a subtle distressed look. Some splitting, cracking, chipping and glazing may occur, especially in harsher climates and when adjusting to temperature fluctuations. We, and the vast majority of our customers, think the imperfect nature of the wood and finishing methods create an antique but spirited look that is part of the charm and appeal of the product. Please be aware that these blemishes and imperfections are non-structural in nature and are to be expected.
