Duralee: Beyond Textiles
With five divisions and bursting inventories, Duralee is a rapidly growing company. After having continued success with textiles, Duralee Fine Furniture was introduced in 2003. This collection of furniture boasts complete versatility from “traditional to transitional.”
Duralee offers a selection of sofas, loveseats, chairs, headboards, ottomans and case goods. Originally a fabric company, Duralee offers a vast array of upholstered furniture, as well as wood and leather pieces.
Construction
Duralee employs rigorous engineering standards throughout manufacturing in an effort to guarantee quality assurance from every piece in production.
- Frames: kiln-dried hardwood (machined for durability) with dowel construction, glue, screws, and corner blocks throughout. For comfort and durability, the suspension is married to each frame.
- Interior Fillings: layer of synthetic fiber batting, urethane foam, and another layer of white synthetic fiber batting (hypoallergenic)
- Outer Fillings: synthetic fiber fabric covering, then densified fiber batting and finish fabric (attached to padding instead of frame)
- Skirts: hand aligned and tailored to upholstered piece. All skirts are lined and sewn with mitered corners. Any skirted furniture has levelers in each leg for height adjustment
