Like many of the best companies in America, Howard Furniture Care resulted from a man trying to solve a problem. The problem Douglas G. Howard faced in 1969 was how to removed blemishes from antique wood without having to strip off the existing finish, thereby diminishing the piece’s value.
He set out to create a wood care product that has since become an industry favorite: Restor-A-Finish...a favorite because it makes it easy for anyone – not just professionals – to restore wood furniture with very little effort, elbow grease, or time.
